The Gerber Answer 3.25 assisted opening knife uses the Gerber FAST technology to deploy the blade when the user pushes the thumb studs. This Gerber 22-01971 model features a drop point blade with a non-reflective black coating. The handle is lightweight aluminum and has textured inlays for grip. Inside the handle is a piston lock that serves two purposes. One purpose is holding and releasing the blade. The other purpose is as a safety to prevent accidental opening.
