This is the Gerber Covert automatic model 30-001307, and the Coverts have been around for a long time. These have been designed by Rex Applegate and W.E. Fairbairn. So this is an Applegate-Fairbairn knife, and you know those two have been in cohorts for a long time, and so the Covert is one of their ultimates. Nice gray, the black pocket clip, lanyard hole. This is made in the USA. The blade is made with an S30V steel, and it does have a stone wash treatment. That blade is 3.78 inches. Overall we're at 8.7 inches, weighing only five ounces. This is awesome. You've got this handle made of Type III anodized 6061 aluminum. Perfectly balanced plunge lock system with your side switch safety is going to ensure your lockdown, not going anywhere until you are ready for it to go. So in your pocket, lock it down and it will not open on you. Must unlock it and then hit this plunge—plunge lock, I mean your deployment button to open that up. Nice jimping here and also on the blade. Ready for slicing, dicing, and oh boy that tip, that is some sharp, ready for any type of piercing that you need to do too.
