Gerber's manufacturer's website-shows this blade to be 3.6 inches long, but it is not that long, that is a typo on their site. You're going to just come to love especially this tanto and here for your any piercing, slicing, it's just got maximal capability of what this thing can do. This has been designed specifically for soldiers and first responders. Very tough fine edge. The blade here is made with 154CM steel, anchored with a lock back design to provide structural integrity in heavy duty applications. This handle here has rubber over molded little diamond textures. It's a glass filled nylon, nice deep finger coil there, finger protection, finger groove, jimping even up top. But that rubber overmold feels really good in your hands. You do have a lanyard hole and you have your dual thumb studs to open up. This is made in the USA as you will probably see Portland, Oregon stamped there on the back. Black pocket clip. Blade length is 3.6 inches, open we're at 8.5 inches and weighing 3.6 ounces. So again just push down this lock back mechanism, put the blade in. When you're ready for it to come out, just use your dual thumb studs, you heard that lock back mechanism lock that into place and there you are ready to go.
