This is the Gerber Magniplier, model 31-003137. The Magniplier comes with several accessories, including a nice black nylon sheath, a split ring, and a stretchy coil lanyard with a carabiner option for securing it to backpacks, shoulder straps, or leg straps. The cutter is made of carbide, and the handle is constructed with forged 6061-T6 aluminum. As you can see, it is very easy to open and features a spring-loaded assist that keeps it in a ready position, along with an ergonomic trigger grip. The jaw tips are exchangeable for gripping, so if they need to come off or happen to break, you can easily replace them using the outboard tip fasteners. It also features exchangeable carbide cutters that you can see closing down when you apply pressure. This tool utilizes a plunge lock system and Gerber’s bare hand control, which provides a finger coil and an angled shape with optimized space between the handles for maximum force. There are two tether points for securing your carabiner or tether cord. The included nylon sheath also offers a keyring option or a belt loop for carrying.
