The Gerber Freescape Camp Kitchen Kit is like bringing a small kitchen with you to your camping trip. This camp kitchen kit consists of a cutting board that has a drawer built in to its underside. In the drawer are two carefully selected knives. One knife is a larger kitchen knife for your slicing and dicing. The other knife is a smaller paring knife for your intricate cuts like peeling, seeding, and digging. Inside the drawer with the two knives is a small storage compartment where you can keep sanitization wipes or more kitchen items. The cutting board on top is nice and sturdy with a 10 inch by 8 inch cutting surface. An integrated carry handle allows you to easily transport the kit and deploy it quickly. This is the Gerber Freescape camp kitchen kit model 30 - zero zero one zero four one. So Gerber has got you ready for your next camping trip, and you're gonna go in style. Now this is a whole cutting board and its case, and this is gonna slide right into the case. So I do have it pulled out here to show you that you're gonna get your camp kitchen knife and your paring knife. So the Freescape, you know, is its own little series and it's with this nice light lime green color—easy to see. You've got the cutting board which is dishwasher safe, all in one carrying case. So let's talk about the first knife: it is your camp kitchen knife. It does weigh 6.2 ounces, made of 7Cr17MoV steel. All-conditions rubber grip again with the black and lime green diamond overmold here keeps you secure in all conditions. Full tang construction means your food prep can double for other camp duties. Fine edge blade, Santoku style, great for chopping and food prep. Now the other one is the paring knife. This one weighs—no, sorry, that's 1.1 ounces. Very light. 7Cr17MoV blade steel, also good for all cutting conditions due to this rubber grip; the rubber overmold helps keep it in your hand. This one also is a full tang with some jimping back here. Blade shape is perfect for slicing, peeling, and cutting. So again, once they are washed up and done, just slide them back. Take them out there; you can put some other knives here too—anything you have just in the kitchen, cut and dice right there. Now it does have the locking system, if you can see that, and then you have your nice gripping case. So again, just ready to go—a nice board for cutting on. You do have to push down for this locking system here, and it does have a double lock—like you pull, you push it out and it comes out so far, and then you have to push it a little bit further. So it's a double lock system that way it can't, I guess, fall out and hurt you. But it's a propylene body with TPE feet—let's look at that—so that way it's not gonna go anywhere on you.
