Gerber Statesman Knife 30-000166

The Gerber Statesman knife model 31-000166 features an assisted opening blade that is opened by dual thumbstuds. To open the knife one must disengage the integrated safety before deploying the blade. Once the blade is deployed the safety will re-engage and lock the knife in place. To close the knife the safety should be taken off to release the blade. It is rare to see a blade lock also serve as the safety and release at the same time. This feature makes the Gerber Statesman a one of a kind knife.
