This is the Gerber US Assist, model 30-001294. So the US Assist is a new line for Gerber. They have made it in black and gray, fine edge and half serrated, so if you're looking for a certain combination they have it. It's going to be the same style with the designs here but the differences would be fully full fine edge or this half serrated or the gray versus black. That handle there is made with glass filled nylon. Overall you're looking here at 7.2, blade length of 3 and the blade is made with 420HC steel. Now this does have their plunge lock with cross bolt safety and that's talking about this system. So in order for it to be locked down and closed, you you have you can, you have to have this pulley in the red to even open it and then ready to close it and then you can push that in to lock it into place and then it's not going to open on you. Then you must push that in and not just a little bit but all the way into like that, you see that red pop out, then you've got your two dual ridge thumb studs to help you um pull and open that blade. It's got a stainless steel like urban type pocket clip on the back and it that can be changed here for either tip up or tip down. Again this steel, this is made in the USA, if you can hopefully you can see that back there on the blade, there we go. Okay, and they Gerber brags about their BOSS technology which has the B.O.S.S. inside. There's stainless steel ball bearings and this is going to help reduce friction and provide stable performance for your knife opening and closing and closing again. Gerber feels like the US Assist is the next generation for your everyday pocket so they've made it like an urban sleek style for you. Again, you got your lanyard hole here on the bottom.
