The blades in Gerber knives and multi-tools are engineered from high quality stainless steel. Still there comes a time when proper sharpening is called for. The Gerber Multi-Quick Sharp has locking diamond coated sharpening rods that deploy at the push of a button. When one rod is deployed, the other rod flips down and is stored conveniently in the handle. When not in use, both of the diamond coated sharpening rods can be flipped down and stored into the handle.
